Impact Rating

As the social investment sector grows and matures, the measurement and reporting of impact (what an organization does) needs to be supplemented by an assessment or rating of impact (how well it does it).  This becomes more important as the sector allowing for comparisons and benchmarking relative performance. An independent rating system gives both investors and investee organizations a transparent foundation for successful investment.

Investing for Good has pioneered a structured analytical framework to rate and assess impact which is used in the design of all the portfolios we build.  It extends the traditional investment assessment from traditional risk/return metrics to a three dimensional assessment that also incorporates positive impact.
